Today I’m asking you to take a little detour.
Below are three posts I’ve recently read. Each of them is full of writerly goodness and I want to share them with you.
I love each little gem. So instead of me rewriting this info on my blog I figured I’d send you to the source. Pick a link below and have a read.
- 10 Ways to Become a Better Writer in 2013 from Script Quack. Yes, I know this is about scriptwriting, but almost all the points ring just as true to novel writing. It’s a good little pep talk to get you into the year.
- How to Become a Writing Rockstar: A Simple Guide from Write to Done. This covers three fears that may be holding you back from reaching your writing potential.
- What is Right, What Works and What Matters from A Big Creative Yes. This is my favourite post of the three. A must read. It talks about how doing things the ‘right’ way could be holding you back from the pleasure of creating in your unique way.
Any thoughts on these posts? Let me know in the comments.

These are great articles. I usually look at Write to Done, but I had never seen the other two. Thanks for posting!

You’re very welcome! 🙂 I love sharing posts.
Script Quack deals with screenwriting and offers critiquing services. I use their Log Line Analysis service when coming up with ideas for novels.
A Big Creative Yes has great posts about creativity and most of the photography is done by Dan James himself.
